Re: Project of the Century - the way to save Europe and civilization

Dear Mr.Rasmussen,
Dear European Socialists,

I apply to you with a project vital for the destiny of civilization, Europe in particular. As a progressive political party, you need, first of all, the true ideology, which would give you unity, the true program of action and the strength to implement it. In our time of science, such ideology can only be based on science. However, modern science is experiencing now a deep crisis and cannot be helpful in politics. Moreover, as an analysis shows, the crisis of modern science is underlying the present general ideological crisis of civilization, now at its crucial stage. Thus the current state of modern science and its institutions presents now the main threat to civilization. That means that, for civilization to survive, it is necessary first to reform modern science.

Although the reform of science is quite a task in itself, fortunately, the path to such a reform has been blazed by my 30-year-long independent research in physics. To publish that research on a large scale, discuss it internationally and establish the necessary institutions to proceed with the reform of science, I have applied to numerous academies, universities, social and political organizations. But, perhaps, mistrust and arrogance in respect to independent researchers have prevented them from supporting my project.

Now I apply to you because, in my view, you have the necessary quality to support the project and take its implementation as the main point of your program. For your more information on the matter, I enclosed here my recent letters to the President of the Royal Dutch Academy of Arts and Sciences and the NIKHEF Institute in Amsterdam (the similar letters were previously sent to the Danish Royal Academy of Sciences and Letters and the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen, respectively) and my leaflet Project of the Century. These papers would, possibly, suggest you the plan of action necessary to implement the ideals of your party. I would certainly appreciate your response and provide you with additional information if necessary.

Yours sincerely,
